QA Engineer

Remote/Wokingham, UK Based

The role

We have a unique and first-time opportunity for a QA engineer to join our talented UK-based team of AI innovators to provide expert improvements to our software development processes, prevent defects in production and maintain the quality standards of our code.

As our Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, you’ll monitor all stages of the software development life cycle to improve test strategies, identify and resolve system malfunctions to prevent defects in production, and maintain the quality standard of our code. You will therefore need to develop and execute testing-plan strategies (for both exploratory and automated tests) before product deliveries to ensure that the overall product quality meets expected standards.

Your responsibilities will also include establishing and documenting QA processes and procedures, designing and implementing testing strategies, driving adoption of automation strategies and frameworks, improving test automation, and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements, generate use cases to ensure that testing captures functional requirements, track quality-assurance metrics, and provide expert support on complex internally developed applications.

Because you’ll need to collaborate with our internal teams as well as third-party vendors, and share ideas and challenge thinking, we expect you to have strong analytical skills, and be self-directed and a forward-thinker. You’ll also need strong industry experience in a QA & automation environment, web applications and cloud environments, and skills in a broad range of testing practices, tools and frameworks. For the successful candidate, we’ll provide on-the-job training to ensure you become proficient in our products.
